Our Founders
Co-founder, Dr. Roger Rogers B.A., B.S.W., M.D., O.B.C.
InspireHealth was co-founded by Dr. Roger Rogers, B.A., B.S.W., M.D., O.B.C. Dr. Rogers is a recognized Canadian leader in Integrative Medicine and has had a special interest in integrated cancer care for the last 30 years. In 1977, he co-founded the Thera Wellness Centre, an organization devoted to working with the whole person towards optimum healing. Dr. Rogers has also been involved in teaching UBC medical students and was a UBC Clinical Associate Professor. Following a lifelong interest in nutrition, natural healing and complementary therapies, he founded the Centre for Integrated Therapy in 1992. In 1997 Dr. Rogers, along with Dr. Hal Gunn, formed the Centre for Integrated Healing, which was the foundation for InspireHealth. In 2001, Dr. Rogers was appointed to the Order of British Columbia, the province's highest honour, for his pioneering work. Dr. Rogers retired in 2005.

Dr. Gunn, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of InspireHealth, is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (M.D. 1981). He has had a lifelong interest in wellness and healing, and has a special interest in mind-body medicine and psychoneuroimmunology (the study of the effects of the mind and spirituality on the body's ability to heal). He has great respect for the healing potential of the human body and the role of the mind, body and spirit in health and healing.
Dr. Gunn has a clinical appointment with the UBC School of Medicine. Dr. Gunn also leads InspireHealth's Research Department, and is working with other organizations to integrate the concepts of health and healing into mainstream medicine.
