InspireHealth’s Mission is to:

1. Provide integrative care for people with cancer and their families in a safe and caring environment supervised by medical doctors and respected health practitioners.
2. Inspire lasting lifestyle changes that enhance quality of life, reduce cancer recurrence, and improve survival.
3. Research the effectiveness of an integrative approach to prevention, health, and healing.
4. Educate the public, physicians, and other healthcare providers about the effectiveness of integrative cancer care.
5. Play a significant leadership role in the creation of a fully integrative model of healthcare, supporting all British Columbians.
6. Inspire one another to live healthy, joyous, and passionate lives.

Our Philosophy

Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation can play a very important role in cancer treatment. British Columbia has one of the best conventional cancer treatment programs in the world. However, these conventional treatments do not address the underlying factors that predispose to or prevent cancer development nor the important broader aspects of emotional and spiritual support that can be so important to optimal health. Each of us has a remarkable ability to heal. As we engage in our own health by making the choices that best serve us mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, we greatly support the healing process.

Healers have known for centuries that our mind and body are inseparable and that emotional and spiritual support play a key role in healing. Supporting our wellbeing through healthy nutrition, stress reduction, and immune system support facilitates the healing process, improves our quality of life and enhances recovery.

At InspireHealth, we believe that the healing environment also plays an key role and that the optimal way to for us to contribute to the care and healing of our patients is to take full responsibility for our own lives –for our thoughts, feelings, emotions, health, happiness, and healing– and to model this full self-responsible engagement in life.
