She practiced as a family physician for 10 years prior to developing an interest in integrative medicine. She has a special interest in mind-body medicine and is trained in acupuncture and clinical hypnosis. She believes that the science of medicine is only one aspect of wellness and that we can reach our highest potential for healing when science is integrated with active engagement in self-care and we explore the many ways in which body, mind and spirit can be supported to a state of optimal health. She has been an InspireHealth physician since 2001 and has facilitated InspireHealth’s outreach programs in outlying communities.

Dr. Janice Wright graduated from McGill University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and a Masters of Science in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from McMaster University in 1996 and has been practicing holistically as an MD in Vancouver since 1998. She has a special interest in transformative medicine.
Janice's interest in holistic medicine and natural healing is longstanding. She believes in using both conventional medicine and complementary modalities to support and encourage the body's innate capacity towards wholeness. To this end, Janice encourages her patients to explore their emotions and practice breathwork to help themselves heal from within. Janice is a certified yoga instructor and practices meditation regularly; her deep love and appreciation for music has played a large role in her personal development. Janice believes passion and creativity are integral aspects of health and well-being and she supports others to expand these in their lives.
