Naturopathic diagnosis and therapeutics are supported by scientific research drawn from peer-reviewed journals from many disciplines, including naturopathic medicine, conventional medicine, European complementary medicine, clinical nutrition, phytotherapy, pharmacognosy, homeopathy, psychology, and spirituality. The effectiveness of naturopathic treatment protocols is evaluated in research, both at naturopathic medical schools and in the offices of practicing physicians. Clinical research into natural therapies has become an increasingly important focus for naturopathic physicians.
The purpose of acupuncture treatments is to restore the normal and smooth flow of energy in the body, thereby relieving symptoms and helping the body's innate healing abilities overcome various complex diseases. The length and pattern of acupuncture treatment varies depending upon the particular individual and conditions involved.
The National Institute of Health consensus panel concluded that acupuncture can cause multiple, biological responses, local and distal, mediated mainly by sensory neurons within the central nervous system." For cancer patients, acupuncture is useful to boost the immune system, and can support and improve quality of life. Studies have been done on the effects of acupuncture for symptoms such as dry mouth, weight loss, poor appetite, night sweats, hot flushes, anxiety, depression, dizziness, and extreme fatigue in cancer patients.

Community Healing Services
Community Healing Services are available on a referral basis to patients of InspireHealth who are living with acute physical challenges. Please contact your InspireHealth doctor if your current physical condition no longer allows you to access your physician appointments, or other classes and modalities offered at InspireHealth. A variety of restorative options are available, and are provided in your home or hospital room.
Transition Support Services
This service provides a supportive, safe and peaceful environment for people facing the dying process. Some patients prefer to simply rest quietly receiving music and/or peaceful, meditative energy (with or without the presence of other loved ones), without engaging in conversation. Others appreciate sharing and exploring their feelings with a 'neutral', caring and compassionate professional. Each circumstance is unique, and services are based on individual needs and desires.
Community Healing Services and Transition Support Services are provided as a result of our fundraising efforts for which we continue to seek ongoing support. Please contact InspireHealth if you wish to offer financial support for this valuable service.
