SUMMARY:BE-FIT: Movement for Life After Breast Cancer (Fall Series)
DESCRIPTION:***This cohort is now full. If you would like to attend a future BE-FIT program\, please join our waitlist below. *** \nBE-FIT is an evidence-based\, movement-focused virtual program developed by leading researchers at the University of British Columbia (UBC). It’s designed to help women build strength\, improve fitness\, and manage treatment-related side effects after a diagnosis of breast cancer. \nThis program is designed for patients who have completed primary breast cancer treatment (e.g.\, surgery\, radiation\, chemotherapy)\, and are currently taking endocrine therapy (e.g.\, letrozole\, tamoxifen)\, or are experiencing ongoing side effects\, such as fatigue\, muscle or joint pain\, difficulty sleeping\, mood changes\, hot flashes\, and more. \nProgram details:\nBE-FIT is an 8-week virtual program that includes: \n\nTwo weekly 75-minute sessions combining movement to build strength\, plus a short education component\nTwo optional 60-minute group education sessions with a registered dietitian experienced in cancer care\n\nWhy join BE-FIT? \nResearch shows that exercise can have many benefits for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
