Listen Now: CBC Daybreak Kamloops Interview About the New InspireHealth Centre

Inspire Health Event Calendar December 8, 2025

“The Kamloops community reached out to us and said, ‘We need you. You need to be here.’’

InspireHealth recently joined CBC Daybreak Kamloops to discuss the upcoming opening of our Kamloops Centre.  In the interview, Loveena Chera, InspireHealth CEO, and Dr. Hannah Nette, Director of Clinical Services, shared details about what the new Centre will offer and why it’s an important development for the community.

Listen to our segment here:

Holistic Support for the Whole Person – Mind, Body, and Spirit

The Kamloops Centre will offer programs and services designed to support the whole person. Patients and their loved ones can access FREE one-on-one consultations with supportive care clinicians, including physicians, counsellors, dietitians, and exercise therapists. In addition, we provide a variety of FREE group classes and programs, such as yoga, meditation, walking groups, nutrition workshops, and the 2-Day LIFE Program, all aimed at improving health and well-being throughout the cancer journey.

While in-person programs will begin once the Kamloops Centre opens in mid-December, our virtual programs are available immediately, allowing patients and families across the province to connect, participate in classes, and access care from home. Our virtual platform, originally developed during COVID-19 as a temporary solution, has become a vital part of our approach, removing both financial and geographic barriers and ensuring continuous support for patients no matter where they live.

A Community-Driven Centre

The Kamloops Centre is the first InspireHealth location launched in response to a direct request from a community saying, “We need you.” In response, we partnered with the Kamloops Supportive Care Society and the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation to make this vision a reality. Generous funding from Anthony Salituro and the Pink Ribbon Charity Ball committee, has made the opening of the Centre possible.

Supporting the Healthcare System

InspireHealth’s programs not only improve the quality of life for patients, but they also help the healthcare system. By providing supportive care, it has been proven that patients often experience fewer hospitalizations and better management of treatment side effects, easing the burden on the healthcare system while improving patient outcomes.

Community Involvement and Connection

The Centre will actively involve the Kamloops community, including groups like Spirit Warriors, a local breast cancer support organization. Patients, families, and community members will help shape programming, creating an inclusive, supportive environment that reflects local needs.

Register Now

While the Kamloops Centre itself is expected to open around the third week of December, patients and families can register now for virtual appointments and programs, ensuring they can start accessing support immediately. In-person programs will begin once the Centre opens, and we look forward to welcoming the community through our doors.

Rising Demand Means We Need Your Support Now!

InspireHealth is the only community hub in B.C. that patients can receive free, comprehensive supportive cancer care services, for any type of cancer, at any stage, and from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

As a non-profit, we rely on community donations to continue providing these vital programs and services. With thousands relying on this care and demand continuing to grow, your support is more important than ever.

Make a meaningful difference today.
