Newly Diagnosed
A cancer diagnosis can leave you feeling worried, overwhelmed and alone. The time between diagnosis and treatment can be especially challenging emotionally and can affect sleep, stress levels and relationships. You may be full of questions and be facing tough decisions. You may not have your support system in place yet and be wondering who you can turn to for help. Our team and community are here to provide support and help you navigate this challenging time as well as the days ahead.
Your experience during cancer treatment is as unique as you are. You may have questions about your treatment or be facing physical challenges from the side-effects of treatment such as fatigue, pain or nausea. It can also be a difficult time mentally and emotionally with fear about health and immunity, feelings of isolation and anxiety, loss of independence and managing dynamics with loved ones. With our caring team of supportive care physicians, dietitians, counsellors, exercise therapists and care coordinators, we're here to support you through both one-on-one and group programming.
The transition to your new normal after treatment can bring its own set of questions and concerns. You may be transitioning back to work, have fears about reoccurrence, have trouble managing relationships, need help managing ongoing symptoms such as fatigue or feel uncertain about what lies ahead. We’re here to offer the support you need during this unique time.
At InspireHealth, we understand that the effects of cancer extend far beyond the individual diagnosed. Our Support Person services focus on the mental and emotional health of those who care for others. When you get the support you need, we know you can better support your loved ones during their cancer journey.
