Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Education

In this session we provide information and techniques for managing your after-treatment breast cancer concerns including pain, fatigue, cording, and lymphedema.

These Virtual Supportive Education Sessions are intended to provide a space to connect, supported by trained counsellors, and to learn more about topics of interest related to the BRCA genes from experts in the field.

Lymphedema Education

Join a registered massage therapist with expertise in lymphedema and cancer for this monthly session to learn about an important part of our immune system – our lymphatic system- and how to prevent and manage lymphedema.

Pelvic Floor Education

The pelvic floor muscles can be weakened or influenced by regular aging and can also be affected by surgeries or radiation to the abdominal, pelvic, and genital regions. This can impact our bladder and bowel function, and can lead to chronic pain and sexual dysfunction. Join a physiotherapist and pelvic floor specialist for this informative session on pelvic floor health and rehabilitation.

Sexual Well-being & Cancer

This educational session will speak to the impacts that cancer and treatment can have on sexual health and wellbeing. Physical impacts, including vaginal dryness and changes in erectile function, will be discussed, as well as changes in desire, communication with partners, and exploring sexual identity where you are now. This 1.5 hour session includes a question period and is open to patients and support people.
