Grunge Tribute Band Raises Funds for InspireHealth
April 2, 2025
A REALTOR® led tribute band, CHAINS ADDICTION, recently turned their inaugural performance of classic 90’s grunge into a fundraiser in support of Inspire Health.
The Home Foundation supported this fundraiser by providing dollar matching; effectively doubling the funds raised and amplifying the impact of this single event.
With the support of The Home Foundation, Joe Bhango, a Medallion Club REALTOR® at Sutton Centre Realty, along with his Bandmates; Ryan Kozicki, Kelvin Schmidt & Dmitry Vaintraub, was able to present a cheque for $5729.64 to Inspire Health.
Held at The Wolf Bar on February 15, the band’s inaugural performance was sold out, bringing together music lovers and donors alike. The electrifying setlist included classics such as Plush, Man in the Box & Blackhole Sun. Attendees were encouraged to donate, and the generosity of the crowd exceeded expectations, making the fundraiser a resounding success.
“Music has the power to bring people together, and we wanted our first performance to be about more than just entertainment—we wanted to make a difference,” says Joe Bhango. “I learned about Inspire Health through my long time colleague Emily Coates, and the band and I are grateful to contribute to their mission. The support from The Home Foundation makes this effort even more meaningful by ensuring every dollar raised goes twice as far.”
“I’m proud to be able to support my colleague Joe and to bring attention to the incredible services offered by Inspire Health,” says Emily Coates, Broker Owner of Sutton Centre Realty headquartered in Burnaby, BC. “Through my own cancer journey, I was able to lean on Inspire Health and I know firsthand the integrative cancer care that they offer to patients and caregivers.”
“Individual donors like Joe Bhango, CHAINS ADDICTION, Emily Coates and the fantastic support of The Home Foundation are crucial to the ability of Inspire Health to provide free cancer care programs in BC,” says Loveena Chera, CEO of Inspire Health. “Because of your support, we can continue to support cancer patients and their loved ones in BC.”
“The Home Foundation is pleased to partner with Joe Bhango in supporting his charitable efforts to help make a difference to cancer patients in Canada,” says founder of The Home Foundation, Scott Shaw.
