BE-FIT is an evidence-based, movement-focused virtual program developed by leading researchers at the University of British Columbia (UBC). It’s designed to help women build strength, improve fitness, and manage treatment-related side effects after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
This program is designed for patients who have completed primary breast cancer treatment (e.g., surgery, radiation, chemotherapy), and are currently taking endocrine therapy (e.g., letrozole, tamoxifen), or are experiencing ongoing side effects, such as fatigue, muscle or joint pain, difficulty sleeping, mood changes, hot flashes, and more.
Program details:
BE-FIT is an 8-week virtual program that includes:
- Two weekly 75-minute sessions combining movement to build strength, plus a short education component
- Two optional 60-minute group education sessions with a registered dietitian experienced in cancer care
