Inspired Conversations
Facilitated by InspireHealth counsellors, these engaging workshops explore a range of topics that support and promote well-being and healing. Inspired Conversations are opportunities for participants to delve deeper, grow greater self-care and self-awareness, and to connect with others while sharing how these topics relate to their experience. Both patients and support people are welcome to attend.
Introduction to Mindfulness
This workshop will introduce the concept and benefits of mindfulness, including stress reduction, greater self-awareness, improved sleep, and increased life satisfaction. You will be guided through some practices of meditation, including ones that can be brought into your everyday life.

Healthy communication can be challenging at the best of times, and even more so while living with cancer and its stresses. This workshop will provide tangible tools to become a healthy communicator and a mindful listener, which can help to decrease stress and increase connection with oneself and others.

In this workshop we will explore how creativity and creative practices can help us revise, reframe, and reimagine ourselves in difficult times. We will explore the connections between creativity and wellness and guide participants through a simple creative exercise. Absolutely no art experience necessary!

Feelings are neither wrong or right, good or bad, they just are. Join us for this workshop on emotions where we will learn ways to identify and express feelings. We will explore tools to be more mindful with emotions, and to soothe and regulate during uncomfortable emotions.

Change and loss are common aspects of the cancer experience and grieving is a normal and healthy response to both. In this workshop, we will explore and normalize the emotional and physiological experiences of grief; and together, explore strategies and art-making for navigating the grieving process.

In this creative workshop we explore resilience in its many forms through the grounding symbolism of the tree. We will define and understand what resilience is, what supports it, and through guided visualization create a unique “tree of life” drawing. Come plant roots and begin to cultivate resilient well-being.

In this workshop, we will explore the practice of treating ourselves as we would a good friend.
