BRCA Support BC: More than hot flashes: Hormones and more

November 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Navigating early and/or surgical menopause can be a challenging experience, but understanding and managing the hormonal changes that come with it can make a significant difference in quality of life. Join Dr. Lesa Dawson, Clinical Lead of the Gynecologic Oncology Survivorship Clinic, for an essential session on planning for and managing the symptoms of early and/or surgical menopause, and considering potential benefits and drawbacks of procedures to reduce ovarian cancer risk.

This session is tailored for individuals who are either facing or have undergone surgery that induces menopause, such as a prophylactic oophorectomy. Dr. Dawson will delve into the hormonal shifts that occur, the symptoms that may arise, the strategies for managing these changes effectively, potential health issues and options to mitigate those issues.
Registration closes at 3:00 pm PT the business day prior to the class date.
