
Julie Teng
Registered Dietitian, Clinical Counsellor
Julie has been part of the InspireHealth team since 2019. As a Registered Dietitian (College of Health and Care Professionals BC), she completed her nutrition education at SUNY Stony Brook and Bastyr University, known for its holistic approach to nutrition and lifestyle.
Julie loves experimenting in the kitchen and chatting about all things nutrition. With a warm, person-centered approach, she supports people in discovering the way of eating that brings them the most joy and vitality. She’s passionate about helping others build a more satisfying relationship with food, that honours all body shapes and sizes.
Julie is also a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BC Association of Clinical Counsellors), earning her master’s degree in Somatic Counselling Psychology from Naropa University. Her training wove together contemplative, transpersonal, and body-based approaches that she brings to the counselling setting. Julie has a special interest in helping to support the nervous system through breathwork and visualization, using music as a therapeutic tool, and helping people navigate the wide range of emotions that can come with being a human and also navigating a cancer experience.
As an avid yoga practitioner, Julie has completed a yoga teacher training and enjoys facilitating yoga and meditation classes at InspireHealth.
In her free time, Julie enjoys spending time by the ocean with her partner and 2 daughters and singing in a community choir in Victoria.
